This question has been asked for many years as deer and animals like rabbits have helped in the destruction of many gardens. Today’s world has most families gardening to eat and animals eating all of the food first are certainly not helping the matter.

There are several methods to help keep deer out of the garden. The first is the scarecrow. Although deer will quickly become used to this figure if it stays the same. However if you put new used clothing on it ever 2 days or so it will not only change look but will smell of fresh human.

Another method involves putting up fences. This method is effective only if the fence is many feet high. The deer may still be able to jump over. There are deer be gone sprays that you can spray on the areas around the garden. The smell of these sprays help prevent the deer coming in by discouraging them from coming in.
